Roger Narayan is a Hollywood Actor who also works in the Indian Film Industry in several Indian languages (Hindi, Tamil, Kannada, Telugu, Malayalam, Marathi) and is fluent in several languages and dialects (East Indian, Middle Eastern, British).
Roger played Supporting Roles in Feature Films that are releasing in 2015. The Man Who Knew Infinity (with Jeremy Irons, Stephen Fry, Dev Patel) and HotBot (Polish Brothers). Hola Venky!, his Hindi-English Feature Film is garnering a cult fanbase and had a fabulously successful 6-week Theatrical Run in the US. It has traveled to over a 100 Screenings in numerous cities in the US, India and Singapore. Roger represented India as a Cultural Ambassador at Asian Trend in China and was nominated for Emerging Top Star of Asia.
He has been seen in Guest Star roles on NCIS:LA (CBS) opposite Chris O'Donnell and LL Cool J, The Leftovers (HBO), Weeds (SHOWTIME), and in Castle (ABC) opposite Stana Katic. He has worked with the likes of Betty White (7 time Emmy Winner, 4 time Golden Globe nominee) in The Bold and the Beautiful (CBS) and Neil Patrick Harris in How I Met your Mother (CBS). He was also seen in Recurring roles on the new Nickelodeon show Victorious and The Young & the Restless (CBS). His Bruckheimer Pilot Miami Trauma for CBS was picked up and aired as Miami Medical. Other Credits include House MD (FOX), Better off Ted (ABC), Outsourced (NBC), the Jay Leno Show (NBC), American Bodyshop (Comedy Central), iCarly (Nickelodeon) and he has worked on several Pilots with Emmy Winning Producers of Amazing Race and Comedy Central. Roger's Web Series Credits include Kevin Sullitt (with Phil LaMarr and Jordan Black) and Keeping up with the Guptas (Pilot).
He Co-Produced and was the Lead Actor in the Film Clay, that was at the Cannes Film Festival in 2013. Feature Film credits include Hola Venky!, HotBot, Happy Feet 2, The Test and Voices for Mission Impossible 4, Eat Pray Love, Flawless, Quest of Alchemy. He also performed for Video Games like Age of Empires and 24.
Roger has been seen in several International and National Commercial Campaigns for McDonalds, Microsoft, Blue Cross, Dell, Amway, Las Vegas, Cisco, SAP, St.Judes Medical Center, Comcast, Discovery Travel and Jack in the Box. Roger has been the face of Microsoft's Cloud Technology campaign in India and is currently a face of the new Dell International Campaign. He has performed regularly for KSCO Radio and Improv'ed all over Los Angeles with the group Consenting Adults. Roger has held titles of Mr.India California, Mr.India America and was also invited to India as a regional finalist in the Bollywood Starsearch Mr.India.
Roger received his classical acting training from the American Conservatory Theater (A.C.T), American Film Institute (AFI) SAG Conservatory, The Groundlings, Upright Citizens Brigade, Footsbarn Theater Company (France), San Jose Repertory Theater and Ranga Shankara (India). In addition, Roger holds advanced engineering degrees from the University of Maryland at College Park and BITS Pilani (the Harvard of India).
Roger is an Aircraft Pilot and has over 55 hours flying. He enjoys flying Single Engine aircraft, favorites being Cessnas and Piper Warriors and is an avid Motorbiker and loves Suzuki Gixxers, Royal Enfields and Harleys. Roger is trained as a Martial Artist in Tae Kwon Do and Muay Thai with Grand Master Ernie Reyes Sr. (of Red Sonja, Surf Ninjas fame).
Roger donates his time to support, promote and host events for Children’s and Education charities and is on the Advisory Board of Induz, a Children’s Education Non-Profit/NGO and supports several other NGO’s in Chennai, Bombay, Calcutta and Bangalore. He is regularly invited to be the Master of Ceremonies and Host at a variety of mainstream, diaspora and cultural events in the US. Roger splits his time between the US and India.
